“My favorite memory from crew is a few minutes after crossing the finish line at my first regatta. As my boat approached the dock where the rest of the team was waiting for us we could see them waving and shouting from a mile away. As we got closer I could see the smiles on their faces and heard what they were saying, “You won!!!! First place!!!!” I was so happy my mouth hurt from grinning - not just because we had won, but because the teammates congratulating us were almost happier about it than we were! The genuine support and camaraderie I’ve experienced on this team are unparalleled.”
